Everyone has the right to an independent advocate — someone who is not paid by Valencea — to help them express their views or work through an issue.
What Is Advocacy
An advocate helps you speak up, understand your options and make informed decisions about your NDIS supports. Advocacy is free and independent of any service provider, including Valencea.
When You Might Want an Advocate
- Making a complaint about a service
- Understanding or reviewing your NDIS plan
- Resolving a disagreement with a provider
- Simply having someone in your corner during an important decision
Finding an Advocate
The National Disability Advocacy Program funds independent advocacy organisations across Australia. You can find your nearest service through the NDIS website (ndis.gov.au) or by asking our team to help you find one.
How Valencea Supports Advocacy
We will never discourage you from using an advocate, and we will work respectfully with any advocate, family member or support person you choose to involve.
