Valencea is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people who use our services, in line with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.

Our Commitment

Children have a right to feel safe, be heard and be respected. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and take all allegations and concerns seriously.

Screening and Recruitment

All staff working with children undergo a Working with Children Check (or equivalent) and an NDIS Worker Screening Check before starting work, along with reference checks and induction training on child safety.

Code of Conduct for Working with Children

Treat all children and young people with respect and dignity
Never be alone with a child in circumstances that could raise concern, without a clear support-related reason
Report any concern about a child's safety or wellbeing immediately
Never use inappropriate physical, verbal or online contact with a child
