Code of Conduct

Every person at Valencea — employees, contractors and volunteers — is expected to uphold the NDIS Code of Conduct in everything they do.

Act with Respect

We act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination and decision-making, in accordance with applicable laws and conventions.

Respect Privacy

We respect the privacy of participants and handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Provide Supports Safely and Competently

We provide supports and services in a safe and competent manner, with care and skill, and only within the scope of our training and qualifications.

Act with Integrity, Honesty and Transparency

We are honest and transparent in our dealings with participants, families and the NDIS Commission, and we disclose conflicts of interest promptly.

Raise and Act on Concerns

We promptly take steps to raise and act on concerns about matters that may affect the quality and safety of supports provided to participants.

Prevent Violence, Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation and Discrimination

We take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to all forms of violence, exploitation, neglect and abuse, and to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct.

Reporting a Breach

Any suspected breach of this Code of Conduct can be reported to Valencea management, or directly to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544.
